  1. use tidy numbers and

  2. use place value & splitting


92-49=43



  1. 92+1=93 49+1=50 93-50=43


  2. 92-49=43 92-40=52-9=43


84-38=



  1. 84+2=86 38+2=40 86-40=46


  2. 84-30=54-8=46

    A great sample of your maths. It shows that you can solve these problems using two different strategies. Clever thinking!
